Hosted Microsoft Exchange 2007 & Windows SharePoint Services (WSS) 3.0

By Bill Hagestad | January 28, 2008

Hi everyone!

This week VISI made a significant change to its product and services portfolio by launching Hosted Microsoft Exchange 2007 & Windows SharePoint Services (WSS) version 3.0!

Exchange 2007 has been implemented in a brand new redundant server environment at our St. Paul Data Center.

VISI’s Hosted Exchange allows customers to use their own domain and identity with the full functionality of Microsoft’s latest e-mail client software. In our Hosted Exchange environment, a customer will be able to use both the VISI-provided desktop client software and also the Outlook Web Access (OWA) portal. This feature is very important as customers will be able to access e-mail from their business or anywhere they can access the Internet!

As an added bonus, when customers sign-up for Hosted Exchange 2007, VISI automatically creates a SharePoint site for free. SharePoint is an extremely powerful collaboration tool for individuals and businesses. The many features SharePoint offers includes e-mail sharing, document repository, workflow management, blogging, intra- and Internet website creation and use of over 40 commonly requested business process flow templates.

Yes, VISI is quite proud to be able to offer Microsoft’s Hosted Exchange 2007 & Windows SharePoint Services version 3.0 to its customers! Enjoy!

VISI steps up to the Challenge

By Stephanie Jones | January 22, 2008

Imagine being locked in a room with 80 web developers for 24 hours with only one challenge in front of you - design a dynamic new website for a deserving non-profit before the time runs out. That’s the premise of the first-ever Logo_f1challenge“F1 Overnight Website Challenge,” which will be sponsored by VISI.

At the F1 Challenge website, Sierra Bravo issued a call to any geek who wanted to participate in a good cause. VISI answered the challenge by agreeing to provide free hosting to the non-profits’ new websites for a year. Web technologies can help non-profits maximize their organizations and fund raising efforts.

So be on the lookout for further updates on the F1 Overnight Challenge, including liveblogging at the event! We’ll gear up with the web developers, non-profits and plenty of energy drinks to keep you updated throughout the 24 hour challenge.

2007 Ambassador of the Year

By Gary Elfert | January 21, 2008

Last Thursday, Charlie Hoff (a member of the VISI sales team) received the Ambassador of the Year award at the St. Paul Chamber’s Annual Meetings. Way to go Charlie!

Charlie has been representing VISI as an active Ambassador Committee member for the last two years. During this time he has welcomed over 100 new members through visits and attending various events. In those two years alone, Charlie has been the Ambassador of the Month four times!

Thank you Charlie for all your hard work representing both VISI and the St. Paul Chamber!
